Welcome! Dr. Warren Dotz is a board certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon. As one of the Bay Area’s leading dermatologists, Dr. Dotz founded the Berkeley Dermatology Center in 1985 where he practices general dermatology and cosmetic and skin cancer surgery. In keeping at the forefront of the ever-changing developments in the field of dermatology, Dr. Warren Dotz has authored over 40 dermatology articles, abstracts and medical textbook chapters. He participates in worldwide dermatology symposia and lectures regularly at the School of Medicine at the University of California. Dr. Dotz has been interviewed and quoted as an expert on skin care in numerous notable publications such as Vogue, Consultant and The San Francisco Chronicle. His dermatology practice has been recommended as one of the Bay Area's best in the Bay Area Consumers' Checkbook and the Castle Connolly Guide - How to Find The Best Doctors: San Francisco Bay Area.   In the News: December 2006 Dr. Warren Dotz was one of only 66 physicians honored by Oakland Magazine as The East Bay's Top Doctors. The doctors on the list were cited as exhibiting excellence in patient care and outstanding clinical ability. As part of the selection process nominating physicians were asked to whom they would feel most comfortable sending members of their own families. In the News: April 2009 Dr. Dotz was honored to receive the 2008 Patient's Choice award. Of the nations 720,000 active physicians, less than 5% were accorded this honor by thier patients in 2008 - and we are proud to be one of them.
